Je präsenter das Thema auch bei uns ist, desto eher wird sich in der Dritten Welt etwas ändern. Gerne übersenden wir Ihnen hierzu Informationsmaterial (Broschüren, Poster, Postkarten). Unterstützen Sie aktiv unseren Verein, wir suchen in Deutschland noch engagierte Menschen, die bereit sind, wissenschaftliche Vorträge im Kollegenkreis, vor Hebammen oder auch vor Laien zu halten. Fistelpatientinnen brauchen auch Fürsprecher in entwickelten Ländern - nur mit unserer Unterstützung wird sich die Gesundheitsvorsorge in den Entwicklungsländern nachhaltig ändern. Der Impetus von Fisula e.V. liegt hierbei auf Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe.
Das Addis Abeba Fistula Hospital bietet auch Hospitationen an für Ärzte, die in der Fistelchirurgie tätig sind. Bitte bedenken Sie, dass das Krankenhaus nur begrenzte Ausbildungsmöglichkeiten hat, die vornehmlich für Kollegen aus der Dritten Welt bereit gehalten werden. Unsere derzeitigen Projekte beinhalten vornehmlich konkrete Klinikausrüstung und ein großes Präventionsprojekt in Metu. Die äthiopischen Behörden haben sehr strenge Zollbestimmungen, deshalb können wir im allgemeinen keine gebrauchten Instrumente oder Geräte verschicken. Wir kaufen in Deutschland Medizinprodukte, die in Äthiopen nicht erhältlich sind, wie Ballonkatheter, Stomaversorgung, etc. und senden diese nach Äthiopien. Hierfür freuen wir uns auch über Ihre Spende!
